#2542 goodbye, October
November. The start of the long, slow decline. I've seen the leaves come off the trees, practically overnight changing them from a source of brilliance into something much less sublime.
It will linger for a few more weeks along the lake, but, like the change from Daylight Savings Time, we all know that things won't be the same for a while.
Like the pumpkin, here today, gone tomorrow. This month I have a whole new set of goals, different projects, a change of pace. I'll still get outside - probably almost as much - but the motivation isn't the same. Instead of outdoors compelling me outside into the sunlight, it will be the stagnicity of indoors pushing me out.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure stagnicity isn't a real word, too....
Bottom line, winter is getting closer every day, and while it isn't my preference, I can't do anything about it anyway, so I may as well enjoy it for what it is.
