#2569 I don't live in a happy (?) state
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are forty states that are happier than my state. And where I used to live? Every state is happier than New York.
I don't know. I always thought I was a pretty happy guy. I always thought happiness was a state of mind, not the state where you live.
Maybe I was wrong.
No, I don't think so.
I have no idea what they based this on. Oh yeah, things like crime rate, climate, air quality and schools. That's what the newspaper said.
Hmmmmm.....
With all due respect, that's a pile of crap.
I don't wake up in the morning, take a breath of fresh air and think to myself, Damn, why the hell do I have to live in Pennsylvania.... The same goes for any thoughts about crime, schools, or the weather. And, lets face it - if I can handle living here this time of year, I'm pretty much ok the other eleven months, too.
I'm going with my first reaction. Yeah, I'm a happy camper and looking at the pictures I take throughout the year, I'm surrounded by other happy campers.
I don't really think that happiness depends on where you live. It's more about who you are, what you do, and how you think and I don't see how being a New Yorker currently living in Pennsylvania has anything to do with it. Happy people will be happy wherever they are and unhappy people? Well, I don't think moving to Louisiana, Hawaii, or Florida (the top three states) will make them any happier.
Hi, I'm Steve. I live in Pennsylvania and I'm very, very happy.
steve out.
